Reinildo fears subdued after what he did in Sunderland win vs Brentford
Sunderland secured a massive three points at home to Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
Sunderland achieved something for the first time in 24 years against Brentford, and that was securing back-to-back home wins in the Premier League.
Wilson Isidor scored the winner for Sunderland in a 2-1 victory over the Bees, taking them momentarily up to sixth in the table.
Enzo Le Fee earned his plaudits for his display, though plenty of attention was placed on that of Reinildo, who arrived at the Stadium of Light with substantial fears.

Reinildo was a class act for Sunderland vs Brentford
Sunderland have made Premier League history with the level of spending this summer, though one of their best signings is seemingly the man who arrived for free, Reinildo.
The Mozambique international has featured in all three of the Premier League games and played a crucial role in Sunderland’s win over Brentford.
While he conceded a penalty, his general display was very, very impressive, with his composure on the ball added to his experience at the back shining at the Stadium of Light.
Reinildo’s career so far
- French Champion in 20/21
- French Super Cup winner in 21/22
- Champions League participant in five different campaigns
- 24 senior appearances for Mozambique
Concerns were raised over Reinildo’s ability to play as a left-back, though those have quickly been subdued with his early-season performances.
So much so, it begs the question as to what the future holds for Dennis Cirkin at Sunderland, who has just one year left on his deal on Wearside.

What does Reinildo excel at?
Firstly, his pace was on full show at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, and that is going to be crucial in the Premier League.
However, his technical game is just as impressive.
Via Fotmob, Reinildo completed 81 per cent of his attempted passes and 100 per cent of his long-ball attempts.
Defensively, he was solid, winning six of his nine ground duels, as well as 80 per cent of those in the air.
The 31-year-old recorded four clearances against Brentford and was only dribbled past on one occasion.
If Sunderland can keep him fit throughout the campaign, this is going to prove to be one of the best bargain signings in the Premier League this summer.
